Using WordPress as our content management system allows us to offer a time-tested and extremely user-friendly system to clients that would like to consistently update the content of their website or easily attach a blog without any technical expertise whatsoever.  Wordpress is comparable to using Microsoft Word as an editor.

There are several reasons why droves of leading web design and development companies are now employing WordPress as their content management system:

  • Pages: Adding a static page to your website has never been easier for the non-technical user – add your new page using an clean interface that allows you change fonts, add images or other media, check spelling, import from Word, bulleted or numbered lists and more all with the click of a button.
  • Comments: Interactivity is key to a successful search engine optimized website.  You can turn on/off or moderate comments for your posts.
  • Blog Integration: WordPress allows you to manage your website and blog content all in one space.
  • Blog Post Trackbacks: Trackbacks are like comments, except they are posted at the site of the person making the comment. Generally these are longer articles related to your post. A snippet/teaser will be displayed in your comments with a link to the full article.
  • Links: You can use the inbuilt Link Manager to exchange links with other blogs and websites as well as add useful resources.
  • Search: WordPress has a built in search function which searches thru all content, media and attachments on your website.
  • RSS Feed: Want to allow visitors to subscribe to new or updated content on your site?  Perhaps you want to automatically notify all subscribers of a new listing or allow them to receive weekly e-mails of listings… All of this is easily achieved via WordPress’ built-in RSS function.  Feeds are read by programs called ‘FeedReaders’. Users just need to add your websites’ feed URL for a blog to their FeedReader which then checks that blog for updated content. As soon as a blog has a new article, it is downloaded and displayed by the Feedreader. This way users do not have to visit all their favorite blog websites to check up on new content.
  • Search Engine Optimization: Add search keywords and descriptions for each page you create – ensuring higher rankings in the search engines.
  • Polls & More: Add polls, quizzes and more to your website in a couple steps to add more interactivity for visitors.
Take our content management system for templates for a test drive (custom websites use a more full-featured version)
